Hey, Technika crowd. You know that glitching debate that keeps coming up?
I know some of us hate glitching. Hell, I hate it too. For different reasons, though. I know some of us support glitching, citing it’s necessary to high score certain songs because of glitches or other general bullshit. Here’s looking at you, Airwave.
But MAN, am I tired of seeing the same song and dance over and over again. I generally don’t participate in those discussions because after the dust settles and we shake hands over a (temporary) cease fire, it’s clear that we have our own play styles and we’re too stubborn to change.
Don’t take that the wrong way, guys. I’m just merely stating the fact that some people are better at certain methods than others. You’d hate it if they said “you can’t do this” and it just happens to be part of the core of your style of play, right? Sounds jacked up, don’t it?
Personally, I can’t glitch. In a serious fashion, anyway. Like you know that purple+pink repeater glitch, like what you do in D2 HD? Yeah, I can’t do that. Not because I’m hurr durr retarded and I don’t know how to do it. I totally know how to do it.
It’s the music that kills it.
Have you noticed how weird it sounds when you glitch D2? There’s a missing synth in there. That absolutely kills it for me. That’s why I can’t glitch. When something is missing in the song itself, I go wtf and then YOU FAILED.
Glitching is hard as balls anyway to score high on. Try getting a perfect play on PFW1 HD with sliding. You have NO IDEA.
shit i gotta get going soon the specialists starts in two hours
tl;dr glitching is fine it’s only for survival i just hate glitching because fucked up music sucks
Append: Okay, so PFW1 is a horrible example. How about trying to land a perfect play sliding Airwave HD?
